Truth is Here and Now

If Truth is omnipresent and eternal, IT had to be everywhere and everywhen. Why is it that so few is aware of it when it is present Here and Now ?? In Buddhism, the problem lies in wrong view arising out of Ignorance. An illustration of wrong view or error is when people in the past being Ignorant that the earth is a sphere, assume wrongly the earth to be flat. Once the fact of earth being a sphere is established the error that the earth is flat is drop and the innocent assumption even appear silly. Error arise out of Ignorance and given up when Ignorance is replace by Truth or Fact. The world was always round no matter what wrong view is taken.

With the above background let us now tackle the Ultimate Truth. Because we are Not aware of the Truth of what I Am, we wrongly assume I Am to be an entity, a person, a mister or miss so and so. The Reality is that I AM is Awareness and has always been. By Self enquiry we intuit our self nature to be consciousness and only out of Ignorance we Mistakenly assume I Am to be a body mind or five skandas in Buddhist concept.

When we wrongly believe the world is flat there is valid fear we will fall off the edge. Similarly when we wrongly believe we are a person there is valid fear for old age, sickness, and death. Once The Truth of I Am is known to be the infinite Awareness, immutable, indivisible and Whole all concepts of duality are seen as delusion and there are no longer fear of limitation including death as I Am being unborn is beyond death and destruction

Gate, gate, paragate, Parasamgate bodhi shova.

The Truth is I Am cannot be bound or conditioned and as for the body mind it is an illusionary appearance in the dream of samsara. Silly to think of liberation for the fictional Donald duck and micky mouse. Because of misperception caused by ignorance we have unending fear with the snakes that ' appear ' On the rope which is a popular pointer in Hindu scriptures.

Message Missed In The Adulation of The Messenger

       In the history of mankind there were always great leaders who brought us new wisdom, For instance Sir Issac Newton gave us the fundamental three laws of physic and Einstein gave us the much acclaimed Theory of Relativity.

        The benefits from the work of these two man proved invaluable to physic students over the year.

Apart from their name, many students do not really know the personalities of these scientists and it does not really matters. It is the message they brought that counts and not the messengers.

         The same cannot be said about the two great sages that brought us the teaching of Truth, They are Sakyamuni and Jesus. Though we feel grateful to them for their teaching, current days students become devotees in Buddhism and Christianity adulating them as saints and many do not fully grasp their teaching on TRUTH.

          Sakyamuni once said to his students if one comprehend his teaching He is with him even if He is a stranger to him, For his student who do not grasp his teaching He said the student is a stranger to Him even if he hold on to His robe.

           The Truth that Liberates is absolute and timeless.It is high time we heed the message instead of recruiting members for the fan club.

The Teaching Of Jesus

The teaching of Jesus as recorded in the New Testament is one of the most skillful teaching on the Absolute Truth.

First he elaborate why we need to know the Truth
He stressed that we MUST know the Truth for Only the Truth can set us free.

What did he meant by freedom ?
The Bible state "whosoever believe in him [ ie his teaching of the Truth ] will NOT perish but have Eternal life."
With this claim who can refuse to know the Truth.

Now all one need is to hear his Revelation of Truth

The Bible in one sentence POINT Directly to what he meant by Truth
" I Am the Way the TRUTH and the Life '
In other word all that one need to know is  " What I AM "

In order that people do not literally assume I Am to be the person Jesus, he clarified by adding
" Before Abraham Was [past], I AM [timeless NOW]

I Am is Christ consciousness or the heart [center] of our local awareness in knowing, seeing, hearing
smelling, tasting and feeling by which one know the body, mind, and the world.

His final and most important message was
" No one get to my FATHER except through Me."

In summary to know the Truth is to simply Know  "What Am I ? "

With this I conclude with  the famous quote from Saint Francis of Assisi
" The Truth one looks for is THAT which is looking "

Life Is A Dream, So What ?

All of us begin life believing sentient beings and the world are Real. For some of us who are lucky  we encounter teachings from all religeous fronts to question our core believe on reality. In the quest for reality, we uncover that the world and its inhabitants are mere illusion having the nature of dream.
   With this knowledge we tell the world that life is but a dream and yet we continue to identify with the illusionary dream character and believing in a doer. We have gained the knowledge that all is a dream, yet we behave no different from those who believe the world is real. The knowledge is not being applied. When applied it is called wisdom. This is just like a person who knew a fruit is poisonous and avoid eating it. What then can we label a person who knew the fruit is poison and still relish in eating it and wanting more.

Here is some of the benefits of KNOWing all is a dream. All dream objects although appear differently in the dream are in fact the same, illusionary and non existent. Having this wisdom one stop to discriminate based on appearance. We tame the sixth conciousness [intellect] by seeing its nature and not with suppression.
As the entire dream come from the ONE light of Awareness of the dreamer, we know there is no separation in the light though the images thrown by the lights appear to be many and separated. The waves are many and different and yet all have the nature of water ,no different from the Ocean and is One WHOLE with the ocean. This put an end to the believe in a self [individual] and others

Lastly all dreams arises from a dreamer and is witnessed by the dreamer. From this pointer we trace to That which witness and we reach the source, the dreamer of all dreams.

Knowing the world to be a mirage, why do we chase after it to qench our desire. It is like trying to quech our thirst drinking water which we knew is salted heavily

The Great Mirror Wisdom

    In Buddhist Teaching, one of the best pointer is The Great Mirror Wisdom, using the nature of mirror to represent the Ineffable Awareness [The Absolute Truth and the ONE Reality].

   Now everyone know what a mirror is, but have we ever seen the Real face of a mirror ??

  Let us take a mirror and direct it at a cloudless sky on a bright day. The mirror display a bright Void.
  Now we direct the mirror to face the mountain and river, and it display mountains and rivers,
  Lastly we take the mirror into a dark room and have darkness for its face.

     In these Three states, the real face of the mirror is veiled by its reflections and is always hidden, but present throughout the three states. Without the mirror, non of the three display is possible.

   With this understanding in mind ,let us compare it with our actual experiences. There are three states that cover all our experiences.
    Starting with deep sleep, we have no experience of the world or living beings [mirror in the dark]
  The sleep then give way to dreams followed by waking [Here the mirror is reflecting the space and forms of the dreamscape and landscape]
   During the three states, our Awareness is always present, but awareness like the mirror itself is a stateless state, forever hidden and ineffable, but is known to BE by the knowing of what it is aware. That is we can intuit the existence of the mirror by its reflections. The Real is alluded by the illusions [reflection]
   On the same note, our True nature is ineffable and all that is known by awareness is nothing but Illusions. Illusions like reflections on the mirror comes and go, while the mirror remain still. So the world and all living beings in it being impermanent comes and go, while the Omni present awareness remain still and immutable. As the mirror and its reflections are one, so too Awareness and all the objects of awareness within it are also ONE. As the mirror is known to exist by its reflection, so too is awareness alluded by what its is aware [The illusionary world of samsara]

   The mirror is permanent whether objects are reflected or not. Hence our awareness is always present whether, there is thoughts or no thoughts and this is our nature that is beyond all forms, feelings and thoughts. As the mirror is the source of all reflections, so too is Awareness the source and essence of all phenomena.

The mirror is not the least affected by its reflection, be it war or peace, calamities of storm, flood or fire. So too is our Nature as awareness unaffected by the events of the world [samsara]

Heart Sutra

        The Heart Sutra in its condensed form is the shortest sutra and is the conclusive statement to round off the entire Buddhist teaching. It is a Statement of Reality which is DIRECT and differ from Sakyumuni's earlier teachings relying heavily on expedient, as skillful way to point to the ineffable.

        Buddhist teachings can be broadly classified into four vehicles [carts] They are :

1] The goat cart, [The four Noble Truth ]
2] The deer cart  [ The twelve Interdependent Origin ]
3] The ox cart     [ The Six paramitas ]

and

4] The Great White Ox cart.

The first three uses expedients and consist of skillful ways of pointing to the Truth, while the Great vehicle is Direct without relying on any expedient.

   The Teachings progressively reveal the illusionary nature of all forms[dusts] from the very course [matter] to the very subtle [ thoughts].
    In conclusion, the Heart sutra states that Forms being illusionary is no different from emptiness and have only the existence of emptiness. The Truth being such, there are no living beings and no world. In this Only real condition, concepts of the three poisons of Greed, Hatred and Delusion losses its foothold and the Heart sutra categorily dismisses the first three carts, leaving only the ever present Awareness [ Kuan Zhi Zhai ] As there are no living beings and world, There is nothing to be feared and No one to be in fear.

     Since there is Not a single living being [5 skandas] existing, the first three carts can be discarded as it is only beneficial to reduce outflow, requiring effort from the Ego.

    For the benefits of those still on the Hinayana, with various means of cultivations and meditation methods, the Truth reveal there is Nothing to meditate on and No one to be the meditator. All effort in the dream [samsara] pertain to the dream. Recognizing the dream as a dream is all is needed to awake TO [in contradistinction to FROM] the dream. This is Prajna identifying with the Dreamer [Kuan Zhi Zhai] and remain aloof  to the dream, while witnessing it. The wisdom of Sunyatta. knowing that all IS a dream in the MIDST of the dream and Awake TO it, not waiting for the dream to end

Hence the Victory mantra wiping out all delusions. Gate,gate,paragate,parasamgate, Bodhi shava.

Deepavali

  The Hindus have just celebrated Deepavali which many pass off as a festival of light [over darkness] Being a Chinese, I have always wondered why this day is refer to as ' Chu Yao Jie ' meaning to celebrate the annihilation of the Devil.

     From the many cultures, most of the celebrations are symbolic in nature and points towards a lofty message. The  celebration of Deepavali is always preceded by the breaking of coconut and towards dusk, oil lamps [using only coconut oil] are lit. One must realized the significance of this ritual.

    The coconut represent one's Ego. The Ego in Hinduism and other religions is regarded as the Devil that veiled the Light of Brahman within ALL. The Ego represented by the coconut must be broken [with wisdom] to reveal the essence within [The oil from the kernel ] the Heart which then shines to removes all the darkness of Ignorance. This Light is symbolized by the light from the oil lamp.

    Prior to Deepavali, elaborate designs and pictures [Kolam] were made from coloured rice laid out on floor, all to be swept away after Deepavali. This is to symbolize the impermanent and Maya nature of the Universe. Upon removing the Ego, all illusions disappear and only the Light of Awareness remain. In Buddhism this is known as Anuttara Samyak Sambodhi.

   The celebrations continue and will continue, but the message is lost in the festivities.

Mountains and Rivers of ZEN

Lately, my earthly [samsaric] friend Pun2 used the ZEN metaphor of the mountains and rivers during several of his conversation. For the benefits of those who have not heard of it, it is as follows:

  Beginning mountains are mountains and rivers are rivers [a]
  Then mountain are not mountains and rivers are not rivers [b]
  Finally mountains are again mountains and rivers are rivers [c]

Without the wisdom of the sutra, it can sound quite confusing and meaningless

a] This refer to the general view of common people. This view assume that I AM is a person having
    consciousness and is Separate from the world [mountains and rivers] around him/her
    [ I Am identify with a wave in the ocean of consciousness]

b] At this stage there is realization that the Self [I AM] is Awareness and all objects of awareness are
     illusionary and have void as its nature [hence no mountains and river]

c] Finally the Objects of awareness are reconciled as the myriad expressions of awareness. The
    Mountains and rivers are accepted as in [a], but with a new understanding that both the person and
    the world around him Appear within the ONE borderless Consciousness, as a WHOLE, WITHOUT any separation.
    I Am is Awareness [void] and also the Totality of the world.[every things and the void in between.]
    [ I Am is correctly Identified with Ocean and  recognize  the totality of the waves AS the
    expression of Itself and share the same essence of water.
   The world of separation of many is now seen as unity with all objects held together by the FORM 
   of void. [ in contradistinction with an infinite solid fill with myriad holes of various sizes]

In conclusion, I AM NOthing and Everything.  The unconditioned containing the conditioned, like the reflections in the mirror inseparable from the mirror [an immutable whole]

       For clarity, let us revisit the three views and see their significance.

a] The world consist of countless things which are separated and different from one another, giving
     rise to concepts of individuality and generality.

b] The world does not exist and All are Void.

c] The world IS ONE Whole without any division within the Whole and is of one essence. All
     concepts that arise from [a] is totally misplaced and form the seeds of delusion that turn the
     wheel of samsara

A further illustration will be :

a] This shore [samsara]
b] The other shore [nirvana]
c] Neither this or the other, the unification of both.

Living Buddha

The word 'Living Buddha' is the imperfection of language to capture Perfection and often lead to deviant view that assume a person have attained IT [perfection]. Buddha being unborn is the ONLY living there is and ever so. The world of sentient and insentient are illusionary images that appear and disappear within it from moment to moment .
    To assume an image to be living is Delusion, as how is it possible for something that never truly exist to have a life. All the so call secular lives are only Apparent in the dream
   Jesus say, the living [Awareness] never die, and the dead sentient beings never live. And the 'I' [Awareness] is in the world, but NOT of the world.

  In the Diamond Sutra, Lord Sakyumuni say The Thatagata can not be seen in forms or heard in sound. Whosoever have this view that Buddha have form that speak is on the deviant path and will never realize the Truth.
Also in the same sutra, it is mentioned that Buddha is already perfect and being Unborn is stranger to any stage of attainment and NO further addition or deduction can make it more perfect. Awareness is already aware [enlighten] and need nothing more to make it aware or more aware [to enlighten it]

Non Believer

  Many societies including religious groups consider Non Believers as evil and must be treated as enemies. This discrimination demonstrate a gross lack of wisdom which I will demonstrate with a story [parable]
   Imagine, someone have invented a time machine and you are selected to go on a mission into the past to meet up with one of your great, great grandfather during a period when everyone believe the earth was flat. Your mission is to inform your ancestor that the world is a sphere. As to the truth of the mission, your ancestor is a Non believer and your task is to remove his ignorance and guide him to the Truth. You have a year to turn a non believer to accept the truth that the earth he stood on is like a ball. At the end of the one year, if your ancestor still disbelieve the Truth, you are to kill him.
      With the knowledge of present day, you set up props to represent the sun, earth and the moon and demonstrate that the shadow of earth cast onto the moon is circular. That is to say you have to first convince your ancestor that the moonlight is the reflected light of the sun. With one week to go, you noticed the gleam of acceptance in your ancestor's eye and you are relieved that you need not kill him. As you prepare to return to mission control, your ancestor rush to the time machine and say 'Young man, the earth cannot be round. If it is, people on the side and the lower half will fall off the sphere.!' Well the time is up and you have no time to dwell on the phenomena of gravity. But to kill your ancestor will also mean his descendants including you will be wipe out in the time line that follows.
  Time stood still and you ponder, is the non-believer, evil and deserve to die or he is just a victim of Ignorance?? That he still disbelieve, was because those[YOU] who knows the Truth Failed to enlighten him.
   In this timeless moments of NOW, our present day religious bigots should realize the non believers are victims and the faults lies with those who hold the Truth, lacking skillful way to convey the wisdom.

  Now, what is the Truth that was revealed in the holy texts of every religion ?. The Truth is ONE and Absolute. In Islam it is the teaching of Tawhid . Lord Jesus preached on the rebirth into the spirit of ONEness and Moses famous Quote on the nature of God as I AM that I AM. The Hindus and Buddhists have Advaita [non duality] and the oneness of Brahman [Father, Thatagata, Allah, Tao or simply The Light of ordinary Awareness]. The Chinese Taoist have the Eternal TAO

   In my earlier posts I have dwell on various pointers to the Truth that is INNATE in all of us. Unlike physical laws which are conceptual, the Absolute Truth expounded in all religion is NON conceptual [beyond all speculations and cannot be conceptualized]. The concept God is NOT God. Saint Francis of Assisi put is nicely as that[Truth] which we look for is that which IS Looking !!!!

Images

   Many will be familiar with the statement 'Thou should have no other images before ME' The most common interpretation is, one should not be involved with Idol worship, as images are often associated with figurines of deities. Well a miss is as good as a mile. In the context of Truth the Images in the holy texts refer to our self-image. What are the self Images ??? The common one is I am a man or a woman [gender], a nationality [Malaysian, Thai, etc.], a profession [lawyer, doctor, etc.] an age group [child, adults, senior citizen ], a personality [friendly, reserved, open minded, etc.] an association [ Buddhist, socialist, democrats, etc.], a disposition [Clever, stupid, lazy etc.].a status [Rich, poor, famous, respected, etc.]

   By accepting this identification [out of Ignorance], we have inadvertently given "I Am" a form while its True nature is I Am the Light, the Way and the Truth. "I Am" cannot be objectified [given an image] and the best that words can point is 'I Am that I Am'. 'The Tao that can be practiced or describe is not the eternal Tao'. It can simply be a non descriptive word such as 'That' or 'Thus' [The Buddhist sutra refer to such words as finger pointing to the moon]

  The concept of an Ego give birth to all other concepts and the dualities that arises results in the multiplicity of names and forms [ I and Others] and turn the wheel of Samsara

Misperception of Religions

When it comes to religions, the most common remarks are, all religions are the same and it teaches us to be good.
  This statement is only partially correct in that All religions are the same, but the assertion that it teaches us to be good is misconceived. In which case what make all religions the same? There are all the same in that every religions irrespective of its origin serve to reveal the Absolute Truth that is beyond good and bad, as well as All concepts of Duality

This Truth is not a special knowledge to be gained, but is already fully present, very much like the emptiness all around us and containing us. In accumulating worldly knowledge [forbidden fruit] since we are infants, we lost sight of our basic nature as Omnipresent Awareness and dwell in a hallucination called Life, ignoring the very Truth that sustain All beings and the Universe.

All religious texts are skillful way to wake us up from the dream of Samsara and weaned us off from the wrong views that arises from ingesting the forbidden fruit.[All worldly knowledge]

Is there Judgment waiting ?

For the many who embrace the Truth of 'Thy will be done', how are these people to accept the concept of a future judgment. Assuming God to be the judge, then God will be judging God's own action as all events that unfold are in accord with His will.
Going by the teaching of karma in Buddhism and Hinduism, our coming into this world is the Judgment itself.
With this lead, we seek confirmation from other part of the scripture and I came up with this one sentence that say it all. The scripture say ' For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of the Father' Now things start to clear up if one use the original meaning of the word 'sin' which is simply 'mistake'
I will further pad up the sentence for better clarity. It will now read as 'For All Have Mistaken Their Bodies As Them selves and Fall Short Of Their True Identity as The Omnipresent Awareness'  If in this lifetime we commit the same mistake of identifying with the flesh, we miss the salvation of being reborn into the Spirit. {refer to the conversation Lord Jesus have with Nicodemus ]. That is we no longer overlook our True identity as Awareness [ Christ consciousness or 8th consciousness in Yogachara Buddhism]

Buddhism and Particle Physic

 Physicist especially those that dwell in Quantum mechanics are continually amazed by the discovery of more and more sub-atomic particles as they increase their magnification.  Will they ever come to the tiniest of them all???. Buddhism simply tell us, no matter where Consciousness rest, objects of awareness will appear and have consciousness as it essence.

To illustrate, it is mentioned in certain sutra 'on the tip of the buddha hair are countless buddha lands'
Sound incredible until we read what mainstream astro physics have to say. Our borderless universe come from the big bang out of a particle no bigger than a pea. We can both zoom in or out ,but one can never reach Infinity.

On record Albert Einstein is not the first to offer the concept of space-time continum as the ancient sutra already refer to our universe as Time-Space [ Shih- Cheh in chinese]

Freedom from suffering

     It is stated in all religions that Knowing the Truth will bring an end to All suffering. This Truth is our very nature and is ever-present. Then why are there so much suffering ????
     As repeated over and over in my earlier post, suffering have a foothold when a living being [formless] identified itself with form [ appearance ] as Mr or Miss so and so. This is the original mistake [sin] that turns the wheel of samsara. The person is an illusion and have never come to Truly exist.
  
   When The sufferer [person] does not exist. Who then suffer ???
   Liberation is From the person [ego] and never For the person [ a non-existent Image  ]

Our True nature is the Sole witness of all appearances during the dream and
upon awakening, we are this Dreamer that is none other than Awareness

Truth in a nutshell

  For contemplation ,a short write up will be ideal if the essence is maintained. Here is an attempt. Embrace the pointers if it make sense and reject it if  it does not.

      Nothing can be Known unless there is Knowing
      What is Knowing cannot be known, for it will then be in the realm of the known
       Since you are the 'Knowing' you will at once realize that identifying with the
       Body-mind [both are known] is a gross mistake[sin]                              
       You have always been the ever present all knowing NON-conceptual Awareness, IN which
       appearances, sensation and thoughts appears and disappear from moment to moments.

The Simplicity of Surrender [Islam]

  The  Holy Qu'ran cuts through a lot of expedients and points to the the Truth in a DIRECT manner. As the Goal of Truth is one,there are many roads that leads to Rome.
      What is shared here is my personal journey in connecting all the dots which are openly declared in the Kithab.
      For a start we have to accept that GOD is closer to us than our jugular, and being Omnipresent is everywhere and not limited to place of worship. So I will start with the body given by my parents and for this there can be no distant journey as it involved only  from here to here.

    How then can we intuit the presence of GOD. For this the 99 names of Allah are splendid road signs. I will not dwell on all the names, but a few that will hint on the ineffable [The Hidden].
    I will state the few that demonstrate the Oneness of everything as in the concept of Tawhid as this was declared as The Self Existing.

      As we have faith that Allah is within us,but at the same time hidden, can we have confirmation of this FACT?. For this we explore some other names of Allah to try and point and locate its dwelling. The kithab declare that Allah is the All knowing, All Hearing, All Aware and the Light of Vision.
      
    Modern science have proven the eyes and ears are only instruments to capture vibrations of different frequencies to be decoded by the appropriate section of the brain. The brain then create a holographic Images and project it outside the sense organs. Who or what then See and Hear these images?. Thr brain in response generates thoughts. Who is it, that is aware of the thought that arises.
?  It can only be the knower, Seer and hearer that is behind the sense organs of every sentient beings. That is, the Entire cosmo is within the borderless ocean of Awareness. As Awareness is everywhere and everywhen, there cannot be a dwelling place [position of fixed co-ordinate in space.]

   Our Original sin is to accept the forbidden fruit of knowledge and failed to question the secular knowledge that the eyes see, the ear hears and the brain knows, when on close investigation, this functions have been wrongly attributed to the body. What is seen cannot be the seer and what hears cannot be heard. If the seer can be seen, who then see the seer? The 'I' that see, hear, smell, taste, feel and know must be METAphysical. It is the ONE knower and witness that dwell throughout all space and time, self existing without a cause and yet is the Source and Origin of all things witnessed by the one Light of awareness.

      Knowing that we cannot identify 'I' with the body-mind [as it can be seen felt and known] our only option is to submit Totally to that which is only ONE, The  'I' in which all things manifest and disappear within its Light.

     In conclusion, all we need is to surrender our EGO [false and impermanent self]  and submit to the
Source which is the Originator and Knowing of everything.
    As a simple check, can anything ever be known unless there are in the presence of something that Knows and Witness all names and forms in space  and events in time.

     As all is Dependent on awareness and if we name this knowing as Allah, then Thy will be done or Inshaallah is beyond any doubts.

     How does one go about the surrendering? Before we read the kithab we ASSume 'I" to be the body mind [an image with name and form]. After gaining The wisdom given in the Kithab we Know the True identity of 'I' which is HIDDEN. We cannot be different "I' at the same time [we cannot be a servant to two master] In surrendering the EGO[the pseudo "I"] we reclaim our birth right as the ONLY 'I"  We stop identifying ourselves as one of the multitudes of ever changing waves, but one with the everpresent OCEAN.

   Al-Hallaj on learning his true identity exclaimed 'I AM the Truth' and the ignorant fellow muslim slew him.

Diamond Sutra

    The Diamond Sutra is the best pointers for Non-duality and deal with the maya nature of all phenomenon.
    All with marks such as appearances, sounds, taste, odour, sensations and concepts are all False and the Real have no mark. So even the word consciousness or awareness are false and is used to points out the Real which cannot be spoken,[Mark-less]
    Whatever concepts of the real, be it God, Allah, Brahman, they are all arbitrary name and display the mark of language.
     If pointers for real are false than it is needless to say names of those with marks are doubly false as with the concept of an entity, an ego, a person, personality and a life.
    As pointed out in the last post objects of awareness are manifestations or reflections[expression] of awareness and pertain to the world of dream all having awareness as source and share the same essence of one taste.

     There may appear multitude of people. No matter who speaks, it is awareness speaking and the listener is also awareness. The good guy is awareness ,so is the bad guy. The honest and corrupt are personalities of fictitious characters. When all the nouns are fictions, so by relation, all adjective and verbs serve no purpose. If we are the one nature of light than the whole multitude of illusions and events on the screen is nothing but the unmoving light.
       The entire projection on the screen and the screen itself is inseparable and is ONE . The gentle sound of breeze and the loud clap of thunder are the one awareness whisper and shouts. When you and me are fiction, than yours and mine are equally fiction.
      The film seem to be the cause for the light acquiring the various appearance. This come from karma. The action of one dream provide the script for the next until the dream is seen through and we awake to our True nature as the light and the screen.

Non-duality

There are many Gurus for Non-duality or Advaita as originated in India. The facts is that ALL religion speaks of this Truth that will end all suffering. The Truth is there is ONLY Awareness [Absolute]
   Most people missed the simplicity, when they cannot reconcile the UNknowable Awareness with the known contents of Awareness [which make up the world]. The Subject IS Awareness and the world its objects. There is a fundamental duality of subject/object. At this point many are confused. As indicated in previous posting 'I AM' is the Awareness in which all objects of Awareness come and go. Lord Jesus say ' I AM in the world [Omnipresent Awareness],but not of the world [Objects in awareness]'
     The Buddhist Diamond sutra gave us the hint, when it mentioned that all objects are  False [illusionary] and therefore have no Objective Reality. That will leave us with the vast empty Awareness as the sole reality.
      In the analogy with the mirror, Awareness is the mirror and the world is its myriad reflections. There is only the mirror and its reflections[illusion], the essense of which is the reflectivity of the mirror .
In buddhism this essnce of reality is called buddha nature or Bodhi.

      In the Hindu tradition, this is summarised as:

The world is Maya [Illusionary]
Brahman is REAL
Brahman is the World [reconciling the APPARENT duality ]

In the Qu'ran the ONEness as Absolute is given in the teaching of Tawhid.

      Another helpul analogy will be the Ocean [Awareness] and the waves on its surface [ forms similar to the objective world] The waves are the Expression of the ocean and the essense of both is water.

     With this wisdom, one no longer live in seperation. Human beings,the mountains and river are but different sizes of waves all having water as the essense and arises momentary from the ocean and return to the ocean. { All comes from Allah and return to Allah }
    So objects appear from awareness [emptiness] and return into Awareness in nano seconds creating a holographic world with empty space as The screen.

   With this Wisdom, our friends and enemies are made up of the same essence as our very own body..Though we APPEAR separate, we belong to the expression of the one WHOLE inseperable awareness. If we take the human body as Oneness,then the limbs and fingers that extends out of the one body,though appear different are parts of the whole. Can the finger on one hand hate or love the finger on the other hand? Love and hate are relationships and it needs more than one to Tango.

  In samsara, the individual wave, think one is seperated from other waves IGNOring the Ocean that connects all. The so call waves of one pattern dislike waves of another pattern and consider them hostile and develop hate.
 This hostility can only be overcome with wisdom and all disputes be it social, religious, racial or political can then be seen as a gentle game of Solitaire. There is ONLY SELF concern just as one take care of one's body.
   The surface roughness of the Ocean does not disturb the peaceful depth of the Ocean [Awareness]. This is Nirvana [Patient Abiding in the uncreated.]
   From the POV of the dreamer [Awareness], nothing happens. But from the point of view of the dream characters, dramas of joy, peace, war, hatred and tragedy continue to unfold [In what we consider waking life]
  The Dreamer on awakening recall the dream, but fully aware that nothing happen. The dreamer and the Dream is one as the dance and the dancer is one.
     The dream is samsara and awakening is Nirvana. The dreamer as Awareness is ever present and is the witness when the dream unfold. When the dream is over, IT recall the dream as IT was PRESENT during the dream as the Witness. Even when all that is in the dream vanished into thin air, Awareness goes no where. Jesus say, I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end [of the worldly dream] The ocean remain even when its surface become calm and waveless.
     Awakening can be Instant, but liberation require time to allow wisdom to replace the former erroneous habit for thinking of one as a separate Individual.

Is There Suffering ??

   We are very aware of the role played out by the stick or carrot motivation. Like a pendulum,suffering,alternates with pleasure and it keep time. However as we approach the fulcrum,the alternation comes to a halt. The fulcrums[appearing as separate individual awaring centres] are also known by the centre less field of awareness. The 'Heart' centre see things as empty[void of all dualities making up the relatives and the contraries]and these then melt into the seamless expanse of the field of Awareness.
  Pain seem to have its location as with appearance of many entities on the screen of awareness,all and every minutest come from a single source,.

   Physicists will comfortably entertain the 'Theory' on the Law of conservation of energy by which it is stipulated,energy cannot be created nor destroyed,but merely transform from one form to another and present to awareness the universe as well as its behaviour. If we trace all energy back to the very origin,before the various transformations get into the act,many call this the PRImodial Energy and like the projector light in the cinema bring every things to appear [both the sentient and the insentient] on the screen.
      One parting subject to contemplate and that is who or what is it that is aware of the energy and its properties??.Energies itself are appearance that flash on the screen in tandem with the appearance of the human form as part of the transformation to the realm of matter [ E= mcc ]
   Suffering does appear,but it appear to NO one as the seeming sufferer and the pain of suffering arise in tandem and we get the impression there is a sufferer experiencing the suffering It is Just as we get the impression that the characters in the movie actually speak and amidst the howling of the wind and the roar of thunder,all of them are nothing,but the same light passing over the sound track along with the 'picture'
     I am the light[source as analogue with the projector's light]and the way[the capture of the event as the screen in the cinema register the unfolding of the movie].As the story is already recorded on film,all apparent interaction are all predetermined [as Thy will be done]
     A passage from sutra and it states,there are suffering,but there is NO sufferer as all are illusionary.Knowing this remove the delusions that follow us for eons.
